Banner materials: choose what fits your project
Different materials are available, each with its own benefits:
PVC (Bisonyl) – 440 g and 510 g
A durable, flexible material that prints beautifully. Suitable for many applications, though it catches a lot of wind outdoors, requiring sturdy mounting.
Mesh – 260 g
For outdoor use, Mesh is ideal. The small perforations let wind pass through, reducing tension on the banner. It’s lightweight, weatherproof and perfect for large outdoor banners.
Blockout – 610 g
A heavy, opaque vinyl that allows double-sided printing. Ideal for finish lines, perpendicular banners or decorative displays.
All materials are B1 fire-retardant and UV-resistant thanks to UV inks that preserve vibrant colours for a long time.
Mounting systems: secure, durable and flexible
A banner must be securely attached but still able to move slightly to prevent tearing. Popular mounting methods include:
- Tie wraps on fencing – perfect for fence banners
- Aluminium frame with elastic cords – strong, rustproof and keeps the banner perfectly tensioned
Banners are typically supplied with eyelets every 30 or 50 cm, though custom spacing is possible. A reinforced hem is applied before eyelets are added, increasing durability and tension strength. PVC 440 g can also be delivered clean-cut and eyeletted without hemming.
